Truth:  We are committed to holding to all of God’s Word revealed in Jesus Christ as our guiding principle in doctrine, character and practice.

·        All ministries, in teaching and in action, will be done in accordance with the truth revealed in God’s Word. 

·        All of our ministries will be dependent on seeking God’s leadership, empowerment, and direction through prayer.

Discipleship: We are committed to the development of Christ-like character in believers, enabling them to understand, demonstrate and defend their faith.

·        Discipleship will integrate God’s Word, prayer, and interpersonal relationship in facilitating transformed character.

·        Discipleship will focus on developing personal integrity and a loving attitude in those who are being discipled. 

·        Discipleship will include biblical content and an invitation to learn from the examples of mature Christians.

 

Authentic Relationship: We are committed to transparent lives, loving well and challenging one another to pursue Christ.

·        We will facilitate the breakdown of barriers by encouraging openness in the public ministries of the church.

·        Care group ministries will be the primary means of providing a safe, nurturing, and challenging environment in which people can reveal the true condition of their hearts and lives.  We will strongly encourage all attendees of ABC to participate in a care group.

·        We will establish a mentorship ministry.  Mentor relationships among men, women, youth, children, and couples are opportunities to take people into the deepest places of one another’s lives to see God’s work done at a truly transformational level.

 

Outreach/Missions: We are committed to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who are not yet in relationship with Him:  both at home and around the globe.               

·        Our local outreach will be based on encouraging attendees of ABC to be intentional in developing relationships within their sphere of influence, such as work, neighborhood, community groups, etc.

·        We will, within each ministry at ABC, integrate outreach by providing events that are specifically designed to build bridges between the church and those who are not followers of Christ.

·        We will develop intentional relationships with missionaries that will personalize our commitment to worldwide missions.

·        We will encourage people to participate in worldwide missions by giving, praying, and going on short-term mission trips to raise awareness of the needs in worldwide missions.

Development of Leadership: We are committed to equipping people for service and leadership, teaching them to train and guide others, to grow and nurture the body of Christ.

·        We will prepare and equip people to minister within their God-given design.

·        Ministry leaders will mentor others for the current task and future leadership.
