Membership Class:  We are always excited to welcome new members into our body.  If you are interested in learning more about who we are at Alliance Bible Church, what we believe or are considering joining our family through membership we encourage you to participate in our next membership class Sunday, October 7th at 5pm at the Wiesinger home.  For more information and/or to RSVP, please call 349-6475.  Please RSVP by October 3rd.

 

Children’s Church: We are in need of three teachers for elementary children’s church.  Our preference is that individuals/couples would commit to serving 1 Sunday a month on an on-going basis; however, until that time we are asking for individuals to commit one Sunday morning for this fall to teach the children - instruction and easy to follow curriculum is provided.  Please see sign-up on the clipboard located on the information table before or after service if you would like to sign up or contact the church office via email @ abchurch@alaska.net or by phone @ 562-3238.

 

Newcomers Get Together: If you are new to Alliance Bible Church within the past six months, you are invited to dinner at the home of Bruce and Linda Sexauer on Sunday, September 30th from 5-7pm.  This is an opportunity to meet new people and find out more about our church. 

 

New Church Directory: It is time to publish a new church directory.  Please take the time to review your family’s information (email address, home phone & address, work/cell phone numbers, and birthday and anniversary dates) on the clipboard located on information table in the Fellowship Hall.  After you have confirmed your information, place a check mark by your name to indicate it has been revised.  If you have not previously been in the directory, please indicate your desire to have your information published. 

 

Care Groups:  Fall care groups have begun and there are many different options to choose from.  You may visit our website at alliancebiblechurchak.org or contact the church office @ 562-3238 for more information.

Children’s Praise Dance: Children’s Praise Dance will begin next Sunday @ 5pm at the church for children in kindergarten through high school.  The first night will be a time of prayer, sharing of scripture regarding the ministry and discussing the upcoming schedule. 

 

Adopt a Sailor is back!  Grant Bryan, member of Alliance Bible Church and son of Tom and Marilyn Bryan, leads a Bible study on board the U.S.S. Fitzgerald, a destroyer based in Yokosuka, Japan.  He reports there are 8 new sailors in his study who do not own Bibles.  Last spring, 14 sailors were "adopted" by members of Alliance Bible Church.

Your sponsorship cost of $45 will purchase an NIV Life Application Bible engraved with the sailor's name on the front cover.  Besides using it in the Bible study, it is our hope that the sailor will begin reading and applying God's truth to his/her life on a daily basis and personally witness God's transforming power through His Word and choose to follow Jesus!  There will be a sponsorship form in the foyer after the service where you can choose your sailor.
