Join us for our annual Missions Conference as we celebrate what God is doing in Uruguay! Rodney and Solea Johnson, CMA missionaries, will be joining us June 4th – June 8th. The schedule is as follows;

·           Wednesday June 4th- Youth group, 7pm.

·           Thursday June 5th- 6pm South American Potluck, 7pm ministry presentation.

·           Saturday, June 7th- 8am Men’s Breakfast, Denny’s at 2900 Denali St.

·           Sunday June 8th- Have your kids come at 9am to go through the brunch line, then Solea Johnson will be sharing with our children from K-6th grade on the 3rd floor. 10:15am, Rodney Johnson will be preaching and we will be taking our Great Commission Fund pledge.

 

Nursery Coordinator Needed!  For the past couple of years, Sara Mason has faithfully served as ABC’s nursery coordinator.  In June, Sara and her family will be leaving Alaska.  The nursery coordinator serves the precious babies and toddlers, and their families.  If you feel led to take on this valuable ministry, please contact the church office.

 

Pre-school Children’s Church Coordinator Needed! For several years Julie Zimmerman has faithfully served as our pre-school children’s church coordinator. Julie and her family are leaving Alaska; their last Sunday with us will be June 15th. The pre-school children’s church coordinator ministers to the young children in our church. If you feel led to participate in this ministry, please contact the church office.

 

Promotion Sunday: Come celebrate with us as the children move up to the next grade level! Promotion Sunday will be on June 1st during the Sunday school hour from 9:00 - 10:00.

 

Women’s Summer Study: Ladies, join us on Monday nights starting June 9th for our women’s summer study! We will be learning knitting and hand crafts while doing our study. Women’s summer study will start at 6:30pm and childcare will be provided.

 

The leadership would like to announce that we have invited Scott Somers to candidate for our position of Youth Pastor/ Christian Education Director. He will be speaking at youth group on Wednesday, May 28th.  We are inviting those who will be entering 7th grade in the fall to join us. He will also be preaching in the service on Sunday, June 1st. There will be a gathering after church with lunch provided, and a question & answer session with Scott and his wife Anna. Please pray for this time, and make sure you join us on June 1st!
