Children’s Ministries: There are numerous opportunities for you to “demonstrate Christ’s love” to the children of our church through teaching and care taking.  Our preference is that individuals/couples would commit to serving 1 Sunday a month on an on-going basis in each children’s ministry. The following ministries are in need of temporary and long-term volunteers:

Both the Preschool Children Church and the Elementary Children Church have easy to follow curriculum and individuals willing to train and equip you for service.  Separate sign-up sheets for each of the above ministries are located on the information table in the Fellowship Hall. Please stop by the table or call the ministry coordinators to discover where you might be able to serve.

 

Intimate Encounters:  Jonathan and Lynda Weaver will be conducting an Intimate Encounters class beginning the week of October 7th for 13 weeks.  The study is designed to help strengthen couples relational intimacy and gives couples a format to better understand each other and the things that can come between one another and provides tools to work through conflict.  The time and day of the week is still flexible. 

 

Men’s Gathering: All men are encouraged to meet this Friday night, October 19th, for a UAA Hockey game against their rival, UAF.  Tickets are $5 a person.  Please plan to meet at the front entrance of the Sullivan Arena, 1600 Gambell Street, @ 7pm.  Please sign up with Bruce Sexauer after service or email the church office by Wednesday @ abchurch@alaska.net.

 

Youth Group Girls Night Out: Ready for a fun night of bowling, movies, popcorn, manicures and other girly things? Join us on October 19 - October 20 beginning at 7:30pm. We will meet at the church, then go bowling and end the night at the Schouten home. Pick up time is Saturday morning @ 10:00 am. Bring $3.00 for snacks, money for a couple rounds of bowling and regular sleepover things. See Jenn today or Wednesday night for permission slips. If you or your parents have any questions please call Jenn Schouten or Sarah Mason.
